pretty faces premiere
Event director
Pretty Faces is a film celebrating women who thrive in the snow. The concept for the film was originated by professional big mountain skier and SheJumps co-founder, Lynsey Dyer with the objective of giving women and girls, young and old, a source of inspiration through a unique look at what is possible when boundaries are broken, dreams captured and friendships cultivated.
When I learned there were no plans for a Southeast premiere, I kept telling the film tour they had to make a stop in the outdoor mecca of Asheville, and finally they told me I could buy the rights and host a premiere of my own. So I did! Working tirelessly, I:
Hosted a sold out event!
Secured a venue and AV equipment
Partnered with enthusiastic sponsors to raise the profile of the event
Coordinated all PR, social media, marketing and event promotion (Mountain Xpress)
Invited local outdoor businesses and gear builders to participate in the event
Partnered with a local ski mountain to offer a ski pass with every film ticket
Orchestrated over $3,000 of donated raffle prizes
Raised $5,000+ to benefit SheJumps and Girls on the Run of WNC to promote active lifestyles for girls
Upon the success of the film premiere, I was asked to be the SheJumps North Carolina ambassador to lead outdoor events in North Carolina in line with their mission of increasing participation of women in the outdoors. I continue to be a SheJumps ambassador currently in Washington, DC.
An awesome night of big mountains, talented skiers, Asheville's outdoor community, and women's empowerment!
